Jesús Alfonso Soto Pineda
Lawyer from Universidad Externado de Colombia (05/2005). Master’s degree in Business Law (02/2009) and PhD in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (07/2012). Accredited as Contratado Doctor professor by ANECA (02/2018). He was an AECID scholarship recipient (2008) and UAM scholarship recipient (2009-2012). He has undertaken academic/research internships and postgraduate studies at Harvard (2019), Maastricht (2018), and Chicago (2016).
He is a Professor of Private International Law at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, affiliated with the Department of International Law. He has served as Dean of Faculty at Schiller International University, Director of the Department of Legal and Political Sciences at Universidad Europea, and Professor of Commercial Law at the same institution. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in both Spanish and English, as he did during his tenure at Universidad Externado de Colombia. At Universidad Europea, he also coached the arbitration team participating in Moot competitions from 2015 to 2021.

James G. Dinan University Professor. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2008 he won the Justice Department’s John Sherman Award for his lifetime contributions to antitrust law. Nowadays he is Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and the Wharton School, specializing in the fields of federal antitrust law and American legal history. Before arriving Pennsilvania he was professor of the Iowa Law Faculty, Professor of Law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and prior to that he was Instructor, at Department of History and American Civilization, University of Texas.

Researcher and professor at Utrecht University. She obtained both her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s degree in Legal Research, at Utrecht University.
After working as a legal assistant at A.W.H. Meij’s cabinet at the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg. Pauline obtained an additional LL.M at Columbia Law School in New York (USA), where she was awarded Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar honours for her academic achievements. Pauline pursued her professional career with the International and European law department of a renowned law firm in Amsterdam, advising Dutch and international clients on European law, intellectual property law and various general issues of commercial contract law.
